According to reports, Bajaj Auto has applied for trademarks including Glider, Marathon, Trekker, and Freedom, among others.

Bajaj Auto, renowned for its innovation in the automotive sector, is all set to make history with the launch of the world’s first factory-fitted CNG motorcycle. Scheduled for release on July 5, this groundbreaking vehicle marks a significant milestone in the industry. Bajaj Auto has already carved a niche as India’s leading manufacturer of three-wheeler CNG vehicles, and now aims to revolutionize the two-wheeler segment.

Despite keeping the official name and detailed specifications under wraps, glimpses from testing phases reveal exciting possibilities. The motorcycle is anticipated to fall within the entry-level segment, featuring an engine displacement ranging from 100-cc to 125-cc and paired with a 5-speed transmission. Priced at a premium compared to its petrol counterparts, it promises to offer superior efficiency and environmental benefits.

Design-wise, the CNG motorcycle blends functionality with aesthetic appeal. Spy shots and test mules hint at a robust tank profile, a distinctive chassis, and a spacious long seat. Bajaj Auto has ingeniously redesigned the platform to accommodate both the tank and CNG cylinders, ensuring seamless integration without compromising on performance.

Key trademarks like Glider, Marathon, Trekker, and Freedom have been registered by Bajaj, sparking curiosity about the final product’s identity and features. The launch event, set to be hosted at Bajaj’s Pune plant, will be graced by Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, further emphasizing its national significance.

With no direct competitors in sight, Bajaj’s pioneering CNG motorcycle is poised to set new benchmarks in the industry. The expected ex-showroom price around Rs 85,000 positions it competitively in the market, appealing to eco-conscious consumers and enthusiasts alike.

Stay tuned as Bajaj Auto unveils the future of sustainable mobility on July 5, promising a blend of innovation, efficiency, and style like never before. This debut signifies a bold step towards greener transportation solutions, reinforcing Bajaj’s commitment to driving change in the automotive landscape.
